Should you play as the male or the female version of Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

Fortunately, there is no real difference. Both genders are exactly the same and, in contrast to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, are both canon. According to the developers, both versions of Eivor will have the same story, background and power. While many choices within the game will greatly impact your story, the choice of Eivor’s gender is not one of them.

The male version of Eivor will be performed by Magnus Bruun. This guy, best known for playing Cnut on Netflix’s medieval series, The Last Kingdom and he is really fit for this role. If you look at his Instagram profile, his description you will read: Danish actor, viking, father, etc. Thus, we believe that Ubisoft’s choise is a perfect one, and for these yet not convinced, a look at his photos should change their mind. The female version of Eivor is portrayed by actress Cecilie Stenspil, who is known for her theatre, TV, and movie work.
