Infinity Ward throws more than 200.000 Call of Duty bans in the span of a few months.
[Original Post – 14/4/2020] The number of banned Call of Duty: Warzone cheaters has gone up and so are the bans.
Earlier this month, Infinity Ward banned around 50.000 cheaters in Warzone. The number has increased to 70.000 this week according to an official tweet from the company. The developers wrote that: “We’re continuing to deploy dedicated security updates and work continues on improving in-game reporting. We’ll share more details soon. We are watching. We have zero tolerance for cheaters”. Call of Duty: Warzone is a huge success for Infinity Ward and it already broke the record of 50 million players. If you want to assist in this anti-cheat crusade you can find the cheater in your Recent Players list and then file a report.
[UPDATE 1 – 1/10/2020] More than 200.000 accounts have been banned from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone.
Infinity Ward has confirmed over 200.000 banned accounts since Warzone’s launch. This number applies to both Modern Warfare and Warzone but the company did not provide any additional information. However it is highly likely that most of these accounts are associated with Warzone, because only this week, more than 20.000 Warzone players got banned for using the same cheat.
Since launch, the team has banned over 200,000 accounts for cheating across #Warzone and #ModernWarfare, including a new wave this week. We are continuing to deploy additional security updates and added backend enforcement tools. Zero tolerance for cheating.

In addition to the news about the Call of Duty bans number, Infinity Ward stated that they have zero tolerance for cheats and they will continue to hunt cheaters by releasing “additional security updates” and “backend enforcement tools.” Of course we don’t have the exact details of these anti-cheat measures, so let’s just wait for the next Infinity Ward’s bans announcement.
