Studio MDHR has officially announced that the first DLC for Cuphead, called the Delicious Last Course, will be delayed until 2021.
In the upcoming expansion, Ms. Chalice, a new female character, will join Cuphead’s and Mugman’s team. The group will travel to a brand new island where they will face a threat even greater than the Devil himself. The Delicious Last Course was first announced back in 2018 with a 2019 release date. However, Studio MDHR has postponed the DLC’s launch in order to achieve “the meticulous level of care and quality we always strive for”.
Unfortunately, with the coronavirus outbreak, The Delicious Last Course has been delayed to 2021. According to the official tweet, “Meeting this standard has been extremely challenging for us amid the global pandemic that has affected so many of our fellow developers. Rather than compromise on our vision in response to COVID, we’ve made the difficult decision to push back the release of The Delicious Last Course until we are confident it will delight the Cuphead community the way we feel it should.”
In the wake of the ongoing global pandemic affecting so many, we have made the difficult decision to push back the release of The Delicious Last Course. For our wonderful Cuphead community, we've prepared a letter from Studio MDHR founders Chad & Jared Moldenhauer to share more. pic.twitter.com/XiU57Wcn1y
