A new comic book based on CD Projekt’s Red upcoming release, Cyberpunk 2077, is in the works.
The comic follows the Trauma Team story. The Trauma Team is an elite medical service in Cyberpunk 2077 with flying ambulances and a pretty aggresive medical approach if you want my opinion. In the gameplay trailer that was released earlier, there are some Trauma Team hints when the protagonist pulls an unconscious character out of a bathtub and informs the medics. You can take a peek at its cover in the image below.
The comic will be published by Dark Horse in co-operation with CD Projekt Red. The main protagonist of the comic will be Nadia, a Trauma Team employee. Nadia is sent on a rescue mission with her team, but after an ambush she is the only one left alive from the shootout. Not your usual medic day right? Unfortunately, Nadia will find herself in an even more dangerous situationin the future, according to the book’s synopsis.
Trauma Team is written by Cullen Bunn of Uncanny X-Men fame, and illustrated by Giants’ Miguel Valderrama. The first issue will feature 32 pages and will be available on September 9 for four dollars. There will be at least three more Cyberpunk 2077 comic books that will continue Nadia’s story and Trauma Team’s lore.
