Looks like Bloodborne will not receive a major upgrade for PS5, in contrast to Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro.
While Bloodborne is one of PlayStation’s most popular exclusives, it will not be improved on Sony’s next-gen console. According to Lance McDonald, a popular “Soulsborne” modder, Bloodborne will not even get a framerate boost. “Bloodborne is still 30fps with bad frame pacing,” Lance tweeted.
Okay, embargo is up and I’m allowed to talk about PlayStation 5 back compat now. All I have to say is Sekiro is 60fps, Dark Souks 3 is 60fps (it’s locked at 30 on Xbox Series X, rip), and Bloodborne is still 30fps with bad frame pacing. ✌️

On the other hand, both Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro’s PS5 versions will include a framerate upgrade to 60fps. On the PS4, all FromSoftware’s games were locked in 30 fps and they never hit a clean 60 (not even on PS4 Pro). A small note here, Lance has created a 60 fps patch for Bloodborne in the past and he is hoping that Sony will update the title via the Game Boost when the PS5 launches.
PS5 will be released on November 12, featuring several FromSoftware’s titles like Demons Souls Remake and, hopefully, a Bloodborne Remaster. Thanks for reading! If you enjoyed the article and want to support the site, feel free to throw a like at our official facebook page.
