Rockstar has abandoned Red Dead Online, so fans of the franchise have created a huge clown event inside the game.

The company have made several patches for GTA Online, but not even a single update for Red Dead Online the last seven months. It is clear that the players are disappointed and they try to show it every single chance they get. In the video below you can see a lobby of players disguised as clowns. According to  PCGamesN, this all started on Discord and Reddit, where fans have been holding impromptu fashion shows. “Since we’re all clowns for believing we’ll get an update, it’s fitting that we dress up as them in-game, too,” one of the organisers explained.

This is a cool and fun action taken by the fans of the game, but Rockstar doesn’t really seem to care about Red Dead Online anymore. With the announcement of the GTA 5 for PS5 the next year, I find it highly unlikely that the online mode of Red Dead Redemption will see an update in the near future.

To be honest, the company made an update to Red Dead online, by removing the mod that spawned KKK members inside the game. However, many players feel unhappy about Rockstar prohibiting them from doing what they like, but since the recent events with George Floyd there is no place for African American hate in any game in my opinion. Rockstar did not make a formal statement about this update, but it did confirm with Polygon that they took the neccesary precautions.
