After last week’s update, Capcom revealed today that Resident Evil 4 VR port features dual-wielding and will release later in 2021.
As you may already know from Oculus Games Showcase, Resident Evil 4 VR will be an Oculus Quest 2 exclusive. However, according to later news, the port is almost complete and will release later this year. More than 4.500 textures have been repainted in high resolution, while the cutscenes and animations are still the same as in the original.
Keep in mind that the title will change from third person to first person in order to support VR. Additionally, weapons’ inventory will be strapped to Leon’s belt so you will be able to draw your weapons like you would in real life. Another groundbreaking feature is the introduction of dual-wielding that will allow players to hold separate weapons throughout the game. Movement makes use of a Touch controller’s analog stick with the added option of teleportation.
