Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, game director of Witcher 3 and design director of Cyberpunk 2077, left CD Projekt Red after “workplace bullying” allegations.
According to Bloomberg, some months ago, the company has started an internal investigation on Tomaszkiewicz. The accusation was “mobbing” which translates into bullying into the office. Strangely, Tomaszkiewicz emailed every member of the CD Projekt Red team informing them that the investigation found him “not guilty” and that he chose to leave the company nevertheless. His official reason of resignation was because of the “fear, stress or discomfort” that his presence would cause to the staff after this long story.
“Nonetheless, a lot of people are feeling fear, stress or discomfort when working with me. I apologize for all the bad blood I’ve created.” Tomaszkiewicz stated. “I will continue working on myself and hope to change my behavior” he continues. We can’t be sure that Konrad is “innocent”, but he looked really disappointed from these accusations. Unfortunately, it is said that he had a key role in CD Projekt’s Red next title, so be prepared for some short delays.
