Scroll down for the updates.

[Original Post: 27/8/2020] The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a new Pokemon GO style title that will be released for iOS and Androids.

According to a developer in CD Projekt Red, Spokko, the upcoming game is an augmented reality location-based RPG set in the Witcher Universe. The Witcher: Monster Slayer will take place before the events of Witcher 1 and will feature roaming monsters around the world the same way Pokemon GO had Pokemon spawns and encounters. Spokko stated that “Monsters will freely roam the land in great numbers” so you better be prepared with your silver swords. “You will kill monsters in order to become an elite monster hunter, using augmented reality features that transform the real world into the dark fantasy realm of The Witcher.” Spokko continues.

The new game will have console-grade graphics and will allow players to explore their real life surroundings while tracking and fighting monsters from the Witcher’s lore bestiary. The Witcher: Monster Slayer will also feature real life weather conditions that will greatly affect your ability to fight and locate monsters. In addition, you will have access to potions, oils and bombs similar to the ones used in the Witcher 3. Keep in mind that developing your character (mainly your stats) and upgrading his talents/signs plays a huge role as in every RPG title. Last but not least, CD Projekt’s Red latest release will also have rich, story-driven quests that will satisfy every fan of the Witcher series.
