Both Witcher 3 and Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales  have received a big update on Switch which added a new cross-save feature.

Along the addition of the cross-save support with the PC version of the game, Update 1.0.2 will also fix some stability issues and minor bugs. Players will now be able to swap their saves from Steam and GOG to Nintendo Switch back and forth as many times they want. Unfortunately, PS4 and Xbox One will not have this cross-save feature yet. However, my guess is that CD Projekt Red will add cross-support on these consoles as well in the future, so we will update the article as soon as we have more information.

You can read the exact patch notes below, in case that you’ve missed them.

  • Updated fonts and localisation for Simplified Chinese
  • Fixed an issue with multiple file transfers to/from Steam and GOG.COM cloud saves service, which resulted in blocked progress
  • Numerous bugfixes
  • Overall stability improvements

We remind you that Witcher 3 will also get a free update for next-gen consoles. In other relative news, a new augmented reality location-based RPG set in the Witcher Universe will soon be released by the company. Thanks for reading!
