In the upcoming World of Warcraft 9.1 PTR patch there is a new encrypted Jailer model, probably indicating that the Lord of the Maw took his power back from the Arbiter.
The new datamined Jailer NPC will link you to the encrypted Display ID100456. According to the notes, the model will be added in patch 220.127.116.11312 and the location of this NPC is unknown. From what we already know, the final encounter in the latest raid (Sanctum of Domination) is preparing us for a new era in the Shadowlands. Specifically, the last phase of the encounter is mentioned as “a final showdown between Death and inevitability in the Jailer’s master plan” by the developers. What could this possibly mean and what is Blizzard trying to hide?
There is a scenario in which the Jailer absorbs Arbiter’s orb that symbolizes life and adds it to his empty chest cavity. Another speculation is that the Jailer simply took his power back from the Arbiter after the Sanctum of Domination raid. The most interesting case I’ve read though is that there is probably a godly entity backing up the Jailer, named Death. Unfortunately, we can’t have access to these encrypted files, so take these rumors with a pinch of salt. We will update the article as soon as we have more information. We remind you that Blizzard had also use some encrypted models in the past, like the Death Knight Anduin or the pre-launch Jailer.
In other news, check this guy locking his wife outside until his raid was finished. In addition, if you are a Warcraft lore fan, be sure to take a look at some of our Warcraft history articles. Thanks for reading!
